Apple accepting WWDC 2018 scholarship applications

Apple has started accepting Worldwide Developer Conference scholarship applications for attendees who can’t afford to attend the $1,500 event. The tech giant will host its 29th annual WWDC at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, June 4-8.

Developers selected for a scholarship will receive a WWDC18 ticket, lodging for the conference, and one year of membership in the Apple Developer Program free of charge. To see the requirements and apply for a scholarship, click here.

WWDC provides an opportunity for developers to learn more about how to create new experiences across Apple’s platforms for the Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and HomePod. A range of developer application programming interfaces (APIs) — including SiriKit, HomeKit, HealthKit, GymKit, MusicKit, ResearchKit, and Core ML — give developers ways to help users take command of everything from their health and homes, to how they get around, shop and learn.
