iPhone X has the best camera of all current smartphones, according to new rankings by Consumer Reports. It tops the list, followed by the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Apple’s iPhone 7 comes in fifth, with the iPhone 6s Plus taking sixth place. The iPhone 7 Plus also sits in the top 10 at the ninth spot.
In its report, Consumer Reports said all 10 of the phones it tested did well in its still-image quality tests, which are designed to “evaluate resolution, dynamic range, color accuracy, and visual noise.” At the top of the results, however, were the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 ranked just behind its sibling; all three tallied “very good” ratings. Consumer Reports found the iPhone X and iPhone 8 to be “excellent” for video quality, whereas the iPhone 8 Plus was found to be “very good.”
