Remember the lofree keyboard? Back in March this retro-looking Mac-specific mechanical keyboard launched on Indiegogo and raised well over $700,000 in funding. It shipped, and there are a lot of happy users around the world. Now lofree is back with a second version of the keyboard called the Four Seasons: A Colorful Retro Mechanical Keyboard.
What makes it different from the first model? It comes in four seasonal color themes: Vernal White (spring), Aestival Blue (summer), Autumnal Grey (autumn) and Hibernal Black (winter). But the team at lofree also took feedback from the users of the first keyboard to heart, and they’ve improved the keyboard in this iteration.
What’s changed? In the first version the caps lock key was tiny, and the “1” key was to the right of the “Q” key, something that bothered many users. To set things right, the Four Seasons now has a larger caps lock key, a smaller delete key, and the position of the Q key has changed so it’s now in the “correct” place.
As with the original keyboard, the Four Seasons keyboard can be used either as a Bluetooth or wired (USB) keyboard. It’s backlit, and uses Gateron Blue mechanical key switches in order to provide a light touch.
The original keyboard received a five-star review on Apple World Today, and the new version should be even better! You can pre-order one for as little as $74 for March, 2018 delivery.
