Hurricane Irma, iPhone 8, and iPhone X were the world’s three most popular search terms on Google this year, followed by Matt Laura, and Meghan Markle.
When it comes to consumer tech, the top five search terms were iPhone 8, iPhone X, Nintendo Switch, Samsung Galaxy S8, and Xbox One X. Other categories include people, global news, actors, elections, global sporting events, how to, losses, memes, movies, musicians and bands, recipe, songs/lyrics, and TV shows. Lists are based on search terms that had a high spoke in traffic in 2017 as compared to 2016.
