Since construction began on Apple Park back in 2015, we’ve been following several drone pilots who have been capturing the progress of construction on the new Apple headquarters. Now that the campus is nearly complete, pilot/videographer Matthew Roberts of Maverick Solutions took one more flight to capture the latest changes.
A flyover of the newly-opened visitor center shows people standing on the roof of the structure where there’s an observation deck. Sod has been installed many locations, and the pond that’s inside the ring-shaped headquarters building finally has water in it. Outdoor food stations that are inside the ring are also nearing completion, while landscaping is still ongoing near the employee fitness center. As you’d surmise from this being the headquarters of the world’s most valuable company, security checkpoints are now in operation.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple asked to have Apple Park designated as a restricted flight zone in the near future to keep drone pilots and sightseeing planes from circling the facility. It’s great that we have this visual history of the construction and completion of the campus from Matthew Roberts and Duncan Sinfield.
