Apple: we’re committed 100% to recycled material or renewable material to make products

Apple is committed 100% to  using nrecycled material or renewable material to make its products, the company’s vice president of environment, policy and social initiatives, Lisa Jackson, told news.com.au.

Apple wants to use 100% recycled and renewable materials like bioplastics to make its iPhones, MacBooks and other consumer electronics in a bid to reduce its reliance on raw materials.

“We’re working like gangbusters on that,” Jackson says. “As far as I know, we’re the only company in the sector trying to figure that out. Most people talk about recycling electronics but the material is not necessarily used in new electronics.”
