In case you missed it, macOS High Sierra release date is September 25

In all of the excitement about yesterdays announcements, one product line was totally ignored — the Mac. That’s not surprising, as the company has had other events this year to highlight the Mac and macOS High Sierra. While we know that iOS 11, tvOS 11 and watchOS 4 are launching on September 19, it took a bit of searching to find out when macOS High Sierra would finally ship. That date? September 25.

The screenshot seen above was grabbed from the High Sierra page on the Apple website. Why the difference in release date? Well, my guess is that Apple’s distribution servers are going to be pretty well hammered with iOS 11 updates, and this gives early adopters some time to get out and download updates for the iPhone and iPad before having to turn around and do the same for the Mac.

Stay tuned to Apple World Today over the next few weeks as we share hints and tips we’ve picked up for working with all of Apple’s new operating systems.
