Craig Federighi now overseeing Siri development

Here’s a bit of good news: Apple’s leadership page now officially shows that oversight of Siri development has passed from services chief Eddy Cue to senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig “Hair Force One” Federighi

The change has been apparent for a while, with Federighi and marketing head Phil Schiller discussing the opening of Siri to third-party developers in WWDC 2016 and Federighi doing a solo presentation at WWDC 2017 discussing Siri’s improvements in iOS 11. 

Cue oversees Apple’s services, including Apple Music, Apple Pay, Apple Maps, iCloud, iWork/iLife, and the iTunes Store. Apple’s desire to generate more original content will benefit from Cue’s additional focus on that
