iOS Apps/Updates
Jeffrey Yim has introduced Rogue Hacker 1.0. In the $2.99 game, your choices will decide the fate of an underground network of hackers and spies. Manipulate the dominant factions of the network in a dynamic interconnected story that changes depending on your choices. But beware: your choices may have unforeseen consequences.
Ten Kettles has launched BeatMirror: Beat detector for Rhythm Training 1.0. The $2.99 tempo-detection and training app analyzes drum beats in real-time, displaying a drummer’s tempo and other statistics as an aid to help the musician stay on the beat.
macOS Apps/Updates
Feral Interactive says Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III for macOS and Linux, originally developed by Relic Entertainment for Windows PC, has been updated with a free content update. You can take your battle plans to another level with a new map, doctrines, skins and modes for Dawn of War III.
You can update your game for free or buy Dawn of War III from the Feral Store. It requires macOS 10.12 4 or higher and costs $44.99.
Maintain has announced Cocktail 10.4 (Sierra Edition), the latest maintenance update for users running macOS Sierra.
Cocktail is a general purpose utility for macOS that lets users clean, repair and optimize their Macs. Version 10.4 adds the ability to perform essential system maintenance with a click of a button. It also fixes compatibility issues with macOS Sierra 10.12.6 and contains a number of other bug fixes and interface improvements.
Cocktail (Sierra Edition) requires macOS Sierra 10.12 to run. It costs $19 for a single user license and is available for download from the Maintain website.
DEVONtechnologies has updated all editions of DEVONthink and DEVONagent for the Mac.
Version 2.9.13 enhances the decluttering service, rearranges a few menu commands for clarity, and improves importing bookmarks from Google Chrome and references from Bookends. The update also lets Markdown documents reference scripts with relative or absolute links and improves the overall reliability and performance, too.
All editions of DEVONthink and DEVONagent require macOS10.9 or later. They can be downloaded from DEVONtechnologies online and be test-driven for free before they need to be properly licensed.
