Nomad Leather Case for the iPhone 7/7 Plus offers high quality at a reasonable price

The Nomad Leather Case for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is a nice compromise of high quality at a reasonable price. It costs $39.95, which is $10 cheaper than Apple’s Leather Case for an iPhone 7 Plus. Apple’s case is easier to install but, once it’s in place, the Nomad is is more protective.

Made from vegetable-tanned Horween leather, it’s designed to look better over time. Much like your favorite pair of raw denim, leather ages in a similar way, developing a “patina” as oils from your skin and other elements of the environment absorb into it. Patina isn’t a bad thing; it’s a good thing. In fact, it’s the main reason people fall in love with natural leather in its raw state. Starting with a beautiful pale tan shade, it eventually develops into any range of browns through wear and use.

Not only does the Nomad look good, it offers reasonable iPhone security, due to its full-wrap construction with 360 degrees of raised-edge protection. The inside of the rigid case is lined with a suede-like layer that helps cradle the Apple smartphone.

The Lightning port and ringer/silence with are easily accessible, making the Nomad compatible with a variety of third-party docking stations. The volume up/down buttons and the power button are covered by the case, which may or may not be a problem, depending on how big your fingers are.

A nice accessory for the Nomad is the $29.95 Nomad Rugged Cable, a cable designed for “high adventure trips.” It’s built with sealed caps to keep out dirt and grime. It’s a good accessory for hiking, backpacking, extended photoshoots, etc.
