Remember the SuperDrive? Protect it with this Sleeve

Apple may show little love to the external SuperDrive — an external optical drive that allows you to install software, play, and burn both CDs and DVDs — since the company wants you to go completely with digital media, but Waterfield Designs brings the love with the $25 SuperDrive Sleeve.

The 6 x 6 inch sleeve allows you to take the SuperDrive to work, on vacation, or wherever you want or need to use an optical drive with a newer Mac. The case offers excellent protection in a slim ballistic nylon case with shock-absorbing neoprene padding. You can toss it into a purse or bag and be on your way.

The SuperDrive Sleeve comes in one color: black. It’s a one-trick pony, but a pony that will prove useful over time. In case you haven’t noticed, Apple is phasing out built-in optical drives on most, if not all, its Mac line, so the external SuperDrive will become increasingly important.
