Welcome to AWT TV, a weekly live streaming show featuring Steve Sande, Dennis Sellers and Marty Edwards of Apple World Today. Each week we’ll discuss what’s happened in the world of Apple, talk about new apps and accessories, maybe even have a demonstration or two of the latest software.
Tonight was kind of a look at some of the new announcements of the week during WWDC 2017 with Marty and Steve at the helm. We took a quick look at one of the top features of iOS 11 beta — the new Dock at the bottom of the screen — and also find out what Marty’s been doing in the last week (going through all the levels of Monument Valley 2!).
Marty also takes viewers through a brief tutorial on how to redeem promo codes or gift friends with apps or iTunes funds through the App Store app.
And since we’re two “older” guys talking about tech, why not take a trip down memory lane? We definitely talked about the past, when things like Find My iPhone, FaceTime, and even texting weren’t around.
There’s a short discussion of some of the changes in iOS 11 that don’t seem as if they’re fully baked — the new Files app is great, but doesn’t provide a way to create new folders from iOS. Steve has also had issues with the screen recording button in iOS 11, but hey — it IS an early beta!
Next Monday night we’ll be talking about the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and updated 27-inch iMac, amongst other things. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, and give those videos a “Like”!
