Logitech intros the SLIM FOLIO keyboard for the 5th-generation 9.7-inch iPad

The new 5th-generation 9.7-inch iPad has a new best buddy. Today, Logitech announced the SLIM FOLIO (US$99.99) which is an integrated Bluetooth keyboard and case for the new device.

Using Bluetooth LE to connect to the iPad, the SLIM FOLIO automatically turns itself on when it the iPad is put into the typing position. There’s a smart power management system built-in, which allows the SLIM FOLIO to last up to four years on replaceable coin cell batteries — no recharging required!

As with many of the other Logitech tablet keyboards, the SLIM FOLIO features an outer cover of technical fabric that resists spills and adds grip to the device when it’s being carried. A full row of iOS shortcut keys is located at the top of the keyboard, placing important functions right at your fingertips.

The SLIM FOLIO is available for pre-order on the Logitech website today, and will be at retailers later this month.
