Apple and ATT are being sued for an ‘exploding’ iPhone 6

Another day, another lawsuit. Gustafson Nicolai pc, a Los Angeles-based law firm, is suing Apple and ATT for an iPhone 6 that purportedly exploded.

The lawsuit — styled Romero v. Apple Inc. and AT&T Corp. — was filed April 20 in the Los Angeles Superior Court Case. It alleges “general negligence and products liability in connection with an iPhone 6 that exploded in the Plaintiff’s pocket.” The explosion allegedly caused the destruction of the phone, and burned a hole through the plaintiff’s pants and caused “significant burns to his right thigh area.”

The complaint seeks damages for wage loss, loss of use of property, hospital and medical expenses, general damage, property damage, and loss of earning capacity. The complaint also seeks punitive and exemplary damages.
