Notable apps and app updates for March 4, 201

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS Apps/Updates

MacXDVD Software has released MacX MediaTrans 3.3 for the Mac, extending its supported coverage to iTunes content.

The upgrade makes it possible to backup movies, TV shows, music, songs, audiobooks purchased from iTunes store to Mac in normal MP4 and MP3 files, making them accessible to non-Apple devices. Plus, the upgrade lets you delete photos from iPhone’s camera roll list.

The iPhone manager is available for macOS Sierra or earlier and supports all iOS 10.3/9/8/7 powered iDevices. You can download a demo here. Registration starts at $29.95 for a one-year license.

Synium Software has released iFinance 4.2.1, an update of the financial tracking app for macOS (10.10 and higher). It’s a maintenance update.

iFinance supports several different banking file formats like CSV, QIF, OFX, or mt940. You can import your data by using one of these formats or retrieve your bank account transactions via OFX direct connect. (Note that not all banks support OFX direct connect).

iFinance 4.2.1 is available for $29.99, a 25% discount, until March 19. A demo is available at the Synium Software website.
