Apple Music beats Spotify, Pandora in monthly unique visitors

Spotify may be the leader when it comes to the largest number of paid subscribers (50 million) for a streaming music service, but it’s Apple Music (which has over 20-million subscribers) that comes out on top when their respective audiences translate into monthly unique users, specifically on mobile, according to a report published this week from mobile analytics firm Verto — as noted by TechCrunch.

Apple’s streaming music service attracted 40.7 million monthly unique users to its service in the U.S. in February, according to the report. Pandora came in at number two with 32.6 million users, and Spotify took third place with 30.4 million unique users for the month. Others ranking highly among music apps include iHeartRadio, SoundCloud and Amazon Music. iHeartRadio took the fourth slot, while SoundCloud took the fifth slot.
