What if you could customize ‘your’ Apple store interfaces to suit your preferences?

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could tweak the interface that appears when you log into your account at the Apple App Store (for iOS) and the Mac App Store (for macOS)?

For example, one huge section on the Mac App Store is “Best New Games.” Let’s say I’m not a gamer. Yet there it is taking up nearly one-third of the available page space.

What if I wanted a “Best New Business Apps” or “Best New Utilities” or some other category of my choosing? I’m not sure how hard this would be to implement, but I’d love for Apple to consider it. (Thanks to J. Scott Anderson for help with today’s op-ed).
