BSides — a two-day, open forum for discussion and debate for security engineers and their affiliates — has received a public contributing sponsorship from Apple, “underlining the increasing efforts of the company to participate in academic research and publishing related to security, privacy and other research goals,” according to AppleInsider.
The event is sponsored by BSidesLV, a non-profit organization designed “to advance the body of Information Security knowledge, by providing an annual, two day, open forum for discussion and debate for security engineers and their affiliates” The technical and academic presentations at BSidesLV are given in the spirit of peer review and advanced knowledge dissemination.
The BSides event will be held Feb. 13 and 14 in San Franciso.
