Speaking at the Code Conference today in San Francisco, Apple Pay vice president Jennifer Bailey said that 35% of U.S. merchants now accept Apple Pay, reports The Verge.
She said that in just two years Apple has managed to move from 4% to 35% of retailers (or four million locations) supporting the mobile payment system in this country. Apple is also targeting big retailers for the next year, including GAP, to increase that growth.

Apple Pay is currently available in 13 countries: Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and USA.
Apple Pay works with the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE and Apple Watch.
