The LG UltraFine 5K Display will go on sale in the U.S. in early December

The LG UltraFine 5K Display, which Apple touts as the high-end external display to use with the new MacBook Pros, is “currently unavailable” for order at Apple’s online store. However, Jen Langione, a senior account exec at LG, tells Apple World Today, that it will go on sale in early December at Apple Stores in the United States.

It will cost $974 through the end of the year — and $1,299 afterwards. The LG UltraFine 5K Display — which is 18.3 inches high, 24.6 inches wide, 9.4 inches deep, and weighs 18.7 pounds — boasts a 27.inch, 5120-by-2880 resolution, 14.7 million pixels, P3 wide color gamut, and 500 cd/m² of brightness.

A single Thunderbolt 3 cable (included) provides up to 85W of charging power to your MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. And three downstream USB-C ports (5 Gbps) offer additional connectivity and power to compatible devices and accessories.

The 21.5-inch UltraFine 4K display is due to ship in 4-5 weeks and can be pre-ordered. You can pay $524 for it for a limited time.
