Softorino introduces WALTR 2, adds power to a classic Mac app

WALTR has been a favorite of Mac users for many years, providing a way to easily transfer content from Mac to iPhone or iPad. Now Softorino, the company behind the app, has delivered WALTR 2, a second-generation update of the app that turns the app into a universal drop area that can push any content into any Apple device. WALTR 2 ($39.95) now makes it possible for Mac users to drag and drop music, ringtones, videos, PDF and even ePub files onto iPhone, iPad or iPod without the need for iTunes.

The app is #1 on Product Hunt right now, and for good reason — the new features add significant power to an already great Mac utility. WALTR 2 now recognizes metadata in each file being transferred, and support for Wi-Fi transfer is built in. PDF and ePub files are supported for the first time, an important improvement for those who need to keep and update document libraries on their mobile devices.

Legacy iPods that don’t run iOS even get support with WALTR 2, with over 20 models of iPods back to the original now included in the compatible device list.

If you don’t need some of the new features, the original WALTR is still available, now at a lower price of $20.97 — for Apple World Today readers only. You can get WALTR at that new low price by clicking this affiliate link (Apple World Today will receive renumeration from any sales made).

Apple World Today will have a full review of WALTR 2 soon, so stay tuned!
