macOS Apps/Updates
128bit Technologies has introduced Logo Pop, a vector-based logo design app for the Mac. It allows you to create a professional looking vector based logo, then use it online or in print with support for all popular image formats including transparent PNGs, and vector PDF and SVG formats.
Logo Pop also includes a library of pre-designed logo templates and editable graphics to get you started. It sports 500 editable vector logo graphics to use royalty free and includes 150 pre-designed logo templates to quickly edit and make your own.
Logo Pop requires macOS 10.7 or newer. It’s available at the MacAppware website and through the Mac App Store for the limited time price of $19.99, a savings of 50% off the normal price of $39.99.
Reggie Ashworth has announced VidConvert 1.7, an update to his video converter for macOS.
Nisus Software has announced Nisus Writer Pro 2.1.6, an upgrade of their word processor for the Mac. Version 2.1.6 contains a number of fixes that improve compatibility with macOS Sierra.
This release also solves a problem where using the system’s Markup feature on an image would incorrectly remove that image. Plus, version 2.1.6 restores LinkBack functionality for OmniGraffle (version 7.1 or later required).
Nisus Writer requires macOS 10.8.5 or above. It’s available from the Nisus website and from the Mac App Store. Nisus Writer Pro costs US$79. An upgrade from Pro 1.x is $49. A three-license family pack is available for $99. An academic version is also available. This is a free update for users of any version of Nisus Writer Pro 2.x.
