Yahoo has unveiled the Yahoo Sports App for the Apple TV. It’s available for download at the Apple TV App Store.
The Yahoo Sports App allows you to watch your personalized sports news, highlights and live games free, according to Roger Urrabazo, Director Software Development Engineer. Select your favorite teams through a one-time setup, and you’ll get a personalized sports playlist of top highlights from your teams and the top stories across sports.
At launch, you can watch the most recent news and highlights from MLB, NHL, NBA, PGA and some of the top soccer leagues from around the world. You’ll also get the “great coverage and in-depth analysis you’ve come to expect from the Yahoo Sports editorial team such as The Vertical with Woj, Instant Reactions, Sports Dash, and Power Rankings,” says Urrabazo.
What’s more, you’ll also have access to Yahoo Sports’ full slate of live streaming options including the MLB Free Game of the Day. Urrabazo says that more are planned for the Yahoo Sports app on Apple TV 4 in the coming months.
