Notable apps and app updates for June 3, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

Mac OS X Apps/Updates

Inspiring-Life Technologies Private Limited has introduced Notea 1.0, their new note taking app for OS X. Users can maximize their user experience by utilizing Magic Track Pad gestures.

Notes requires Mac OS X Yosemite or El Capitan. It costs $0.99 for a limited time and is available at the Mac App Store.

Brotens has announced Illuminando 2.0. It’s an upgrade of the lighting calculation for Mac OS X Yosemite or El Capitan. 

Illuminando is a native Cocoa CAD app designed to perform lighting calculations using interactive tools that allow users to obtain a simple and effective input. 

After a calculation, the results are presented in 3D OpenGL and in a complete RTF report. lluminando costs $99.99. It’s available at the Mac App Sore.

Giorgos Trigonakis has rolled out File List Export 2.0 for Mac OS X 10.8 or higher. It’s an update to the folder and file list exporting utility.

sers select a folder, and the app will create a list of all files and subfolders on screen, and offers the ability to export the list to an Excel .xls. or .csv text file. Version 2.0 brings the ability to export the files list to a folder, as well as the ability to organize the files by kind, file extension, tag, and date.

File List Export 2.0 costs $4.99. It’s available at the Mac App Store.

iOS Apps/Updates

Usual Makers S.A.S. has released Step On Gregg 1.0.4, a puzzle/platform game for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV. In the free app, players must help Gregg save chickens by using his head as a bridge. Magical objects (geysers, flying dice and teleporter-flutes and more) will help solve the enigmas through five worlds and 80 levels. And with multiple devices, the game is automatically synchronized via iCloud.
