Notable apps and app updates for June 20, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS Apps/Updates

VPN Tracker World Connect for iOS is free to download on the App Store. VPN Tracker for Mac is available for download here. After a free trial period, VPN Tracker Would Connect is available for $49.99 annually for macOS and iOS. All plans include unlimited traffic.

iOS Apps/Updates

Native 9 has released two games for the iPhone and iPad. Dot’d Lines: Retro Edition is a free game in which you tap on the screen to keep a dot moving and get to the finish line — but you can only cross the line where the dots match. Ninja Hero: The Original Game is a free app in which you must clear a sphere of the white spikes while avoiding the black spikes. 

Sensori Games has launched City Salvation: Drone Wars 1.0. In the free game, your mission is to remotely control a military attack drone to protect downtown Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco from massive attacking robot mechs, which drop from the sky. Zoom over and between city skyscrapers at breakneck speed controlling your drone by tilting your iPhone or iPad. As you fight through each mission, your dispatcher relays the danger and details of the war’s story.

Norcron has debuted Space Barriers 1.0. In the free puzzle game, players must swipe their finger anywhere on the screen to navigate the ball through the puzzle and into the goal. Space Barriers features 100 levels ranging from easy to difficult.

Outside the Box Creative has introduced Tip Tap Toe 1.0. The $0.99 interactive kids story app for the iPad features touch-responsive pages. There are numerous touch-and-drag objects, a “read it myself” option and more.

tvOS Apps/Updates for the Apple

Magnin & Associates have given us Skydiving Fever 1.0 for the Apple TV. In the $1.99 app, you lean and turn your Siri Remote to adjust your movement during free fall, deploy your parachute, and then control your descent and steer the parachute to land as close as possible to the target landing zone.
