Square Cash is already a simple and secure app that turns sending money to friends a matter of making a few taps. Now the app has gained an Apple Watch companion, so you can make and receive money transfers from your Watch.
The original app lets you send money to your cousin Vinnie (who is always broke…) or your best friend for free, as long as you’ve linked a Visa, MasterCard or Discover debit card to the app. The new Apple Watch app presents a list of your contacts, one of which you select. Next you tap out the amount to be sent by hitting a combination of “dollar bills” on the entry screen. Send it on its way, and Vinnie can cover his gambling losses again.
The Watch app will appear automatically once the app has been updated on your iPhone. You may be asked to make a settings change on the iPhone to connect the Square Cash app and the Watch, but the process is quick and simple.
