Apple has set Baidu as its default search engine for Chinese users of Siri, according to Feng.com, a tech blog based in China (and as as noted by BrightWire.com, a global investment newswire).
Siri also added the feature of Baidu Baike, Baidu’s Chinese-language collaborative web-based encyclopedia. Baidu Inc. is a Chinese web services company headquartered at the Baidu Campus in Beijing’s Haidian District.
The company provides a Chinese language-search engine for websites, audio files and images, as well as the aforementioned Baidu Baike (an online, collaboratively-built encyclopedia) and a searchable, keyword-based discussion forum.
