Apple silently updated the executive profile web page, with some new photos and bios showing up for some of the execs as well as some previously announced title changes and promotions.
Probably the most obvious changes were made to reflect Apple’s commitment to design. Jony Ive’s title is now Chief Design Officer, with Alan Dye making an appearance on the page as the company Vice President of User Interface Design and Richard Haworth debuting as the Vice President of Industrial Design.
It was previously reported that Ive would report directly to CEO Tim Cook; one surprise to many onlookers is that Dye and Haworth will also be reporting directly to Cook instead of working for Ive.

It’s great to see Apple subtly tipping its hat to the one thing that makes the company stand out from other consumer electronics firm — its commitment to design excellence.
