Ahead of its Watch launch next month, Apple allowed ABC’s Good Morning America inside its secret testing facility for the Apple Watch. According to the report, employees were monitored while they exercised as part of the project, but did not know they were testing the Apple Watch.
“[The employees] knew they were testing something, but they didn’t know it was for the Apple Watch,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s senior vice president of operations. “We hooked them up with all the masks and so forth, but we would put on an Apple Watch covered up.”
Our take on the news:
Apple has been investing a lot of time and money into developing the Apple Watch, with the fitness and medical applications being one of the major features of the devices. We tend to agree with Stanford’s Dr. Michael McConnell who believes the Apple Watch will be a game changer for medical research and cardiovascular fitness technology.
