With Enbrighten’s Eternity Lights, you’ll be eternally grateful for the time saved hanging Christmas lights

Putting up lights on your house at Christmas time is a pain. Thankfully, I’ve found a cost-effective solution that makes this easy. And the lights can stay up year round with colors to celebrate other holidays — or just light up the area round your house.

The solution is Eternity Lights from Enbrighten, connected outdoor lights that can be installed under the edge of your roof (eaves) permanently. And they offer “smart customization” to match holidays, parties, sporting events, etc.

I tested the US$249.99 Enbrighten WiFi VIBE Color-Changing Permanent Outdoor Eternity Eave Lights with 72 lights and a 100-foot black cord. The kit came with six 16.5-foot. white strands, 72 total LEDs, patent-pending mounting brackets with 3M VHB tape, cord clips, screws, power supply and a 10-foot extension cable.

To install, just snap the lights into the mounting brackets, which secure permanently with screws as well as tap. You can link, flex or cut strands to accommodate your preferred layout.

The Eternity Lights sport RGBWIC LEDs to provide dedicated adjustable white light to match your home’s exterior lighting and the full spectrum of colors. With the Enbrighten app (available at the Apple App Store), you can pair to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network to accentuate your home with millions of color combinations, modes and effects, plus schedules, automations and individual LED controls.

According to the folks at Enbrighten, the entire system meets ETL and NEC requirements for outdoor lighting and has an all-weather rating with -4∞F to 131∞F operating temperature.

For added flexibility, you can connect multiple strands or extensions up to 150 feet — or 200 feet for less output. You can even cut the end of the strand to fine-tune your setup.

Once installed, you’ll be amazed at the versatility of the Enbrighten Eternity lights is their versatility. Dozens of color options and customizable lighting modes allow them to be customized to a variety of situations, ranging from a soft white glow for everyday use or a  multicolor display for special events, these lights can do it all. And the built-in timer lets you to schedule the lights to turn on and off automatically.

The Eternity smart lights are designed to be installed once, and used permanently. The biggest draw for me is that now I don’t have to go up a ladder to install the Christmas lights every year. And the Eternity Lights can go from Christmas lights to soft white lights to Halloween lights and much more from the ease of your smartphone.
