Wistron reportedly to be first choice for manufacturing 2017 iPhones

Apple has chosen Wistron to be the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM)  in India for this year’s iPhones, while Foxconn Electronics and other makers will become second OEMs if demand increases, reports DigiTimes.

Wistron has purportedly expanded smartphone production capacity in Kunshan, eastern China, and in India. Foxconn is the world’s largest electronics contractor manufacturer and is based in Taiwan. Wistron, also based in Ttaiwan, is an original design manufacturer.
