Wireless charging for upcoming iPhones confirmed

A mobile accessories maker has confirmed that the upcoming Apple iPhones (shown in fanciful mockups) — expected to debut next month — will feature wireless charging.

RAVPower GM Allen Fung tells The Next Web that the company has a wireless charger that “will wirelessly charge the next iPhones at full speed.” The publication says it also confirmed this with a second source.

The wireless charging solution will apparently involve placing a glass-backed smartphone on a charger a la the Apple Watch. It doesn’t involve over-the-air wireless charging.
