Winston Duke (Black Panther, Us) has been tapped as the lead in Swagger, Apple’s new basketball-themed drama series from NBA superstar Kevin Durant and his Thirty Five Ventures, reports Deadline.
He’ll star as Ike, a youth basketball coach and former star player. Inspired by Durant’s youth basketball experiences, Swagger will explore the world of AAU basketball in the nation’s capital, and the players, their families and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, and opportunism and corruption, the article adds. Swagger will come from Imagine Television, Durant’s Thirty Five Ventures, and CBS Television Studios.
Apple TV+ will launch on Nov. 1 for $4.99 per month. However, you can get a year’s subscription free when you buy a new iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
