WaterField Designs’ Staad Attache for the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is now available.
“The Staad Attache for tablets and laptops is designed for professionals who want a bag more formal than a messenger but more edgy than a briefcase,” says WaterField Designs oowner Gary Waterfield.
A customized internal pocket protects the 15-inch MacBook Pro with dense foam on all sides and is covered by a scratch-free liner. Two interior pockets keep accessories within reach. The Staad’s slim main compartment features a gold liner enabling users to quickly spot individual contents. A large front pocket opens on two sides with sleek waterproof zippers and includes a scratch-free interior pocket for the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.
A black ballistic or waxed canvas base sports a full-grain, distressed leather flap. A clip developed by the military — once used to instantly access ammunition — opens the bag with a “quick flick.” A suspension shoulder strap can be worn messenger style or over one shoulder; alternatively, a leather-lined handle provides a more formal carrying option.
The Staad Attache costs US$229 for the 13-inch model and $239 for the 15-incher. It’s available in brown waxed canvas or black ballistic nylon body with full-grain leather flap and accents in black, chocolate or grizzly.
