Wallpaper Wizard 2 makes it easy to use HD wallpapers on your Mac

MacPaw recently acquired Wallpaper Wizard and has released an updated version (2) of the app. It’s developed to give your Mac’s display changing, fresh looks from a curated collection of hand-picked HD photos.

Wallpaper Wizard 2 makes it easy to find good-looking screen images from a huge (25,000) collection of handpicked wallpapers and backgrounds. Categories include animals, nature, textures, architecture, places, people, objects, food, city, vehicles, sports, monochrome, flowers, and art. You can spend hours playing around with the various backgrounds.

The first time you launch Wallpaper Wizard, you’re offered a quick, walk-through tutorial that explains all its features. Though the app is very intuitive, it’s worth a couple of minutes to check out the tutorial.

Wallpaper Wizard’s Explore feature helps you find new wallpapers. You can flip through featured collections or dive deep into categories to find that perfect image. The Roll feature is like a wallpaper playlist. You can add collections you like, set how often images change, pause the current image, and switch to the next one. You can even create an account for easily saving and accessing your favorite wallpapers.

You can the option of installing a Wallpaper Wizard menu bar item for quickly accessing the app. Conveniently, the app supports wallpaper management on multiple monitors.

Is Wallpaper Wizard for you? If you always have multiple apps open on your Mac, perhaps not, as you probably don’t pay much attention to the background image. However, if you like seeing gorgeous wallpapers on your Mac’s screen, this app makes it easy and fun to do just that.

Wallpaper Wizard is available at the Mac App Store for $9.99 with an additional $4.99 in-app purchase of multi-display support. Wallpaper Wizard 2 is also available via Setapp, a $9.99 monthly subscription service.
