Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro is likely to include a landscape Face ID camera, according to code in iOS 17.4 discovered by MacRumors contributor Steve Moser.
“During Face ID setup, iPad needs to be in landscape with the camera at the top of the screen,” reads the code. The iPad Pro is the only iPad model that has Face ID at the current time, so the code suggests that Apple is relocating the front-facing camera from the top of the device to the side, according to MacRumors.
We should see revamped iPads soon. OLED displays for upcoming iPad Pro models begin production this week with the updated tablets to ship in April, according toThe Elec. And they may be pricey.
Apple’s upcoming OLED iPad Pro will start at US$1,500, rising to between $1,800 and $2,000 depending on size and configuration, representing a major increase in prices compared to Apple’s current equivalents, according to a new report on the news aggregator account “yeux1122” on the Naver blog.
According to an October 2023 OMDIA report, the planned OLED tablet panel size for the iPad Pros will be 11 and 12.9 inches and will be supplied by LG Display and Samsung Display. Based on the current survey, Apple is targeting a total of 10 million units of OLED iPad panels for 2024.
