Tim Cook says Apple will donate to efforts in fighting the coronavirus

Apple CEO Tim Cook has tweeted that “we send our love and support to the many impacted by the cornonavirus” and that “Apple will be donating to groups on the ground helping support all of those affected.”

The spread of the deadly coronanus virus is accelerating, Chinese President Xi Jinping warned, after holding a special government meeting on the Lunar New Year public holiday.

The country is facing a “grave situation” told senior officials, according to state television. As noted by the BBC, the coronavirus has killed at least 41 people and infected some 1,400 since its discovery in the city of Wuhan. Travel restrictions have already hit several affected cities.
