Things for which I’m thankful

Since Thursday, Nov. 24, is Thanksgiving here in the good ol’ US of A, Apple World Today will be “closed” that day and we’ll run a light schedule on Friday, Nov. 25, as we spend time with our family and friends. Actually, we’ll be so sluggish from all that food we ate on Thursday, it’s doubtful that we’d have the energy to get much done.

And while I am seriously grateful for all the fine food I’ll have when so many in the world have so little, there’s so much more I’m thankful for.

I’m thankful for having a job with Apple World Today —  especially one so great I wake up in the morning excited to get to work.

I’m thankful for my wife (Laura), my three great kids (son Matt, daughter Katie, and daughter-in-law Jennifer), my granddaughter Elizabeth, as well as my mom, brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews.

I’m thankful for the blessing of many friends.

I’m thankful for the good health that I sometimes take for granted — health that still allows me to run and play a plethora of sports.

I’m thankful for having this beautiful Earth on which we live — and hope we’ll take better care of it.

I’m thankful for living in a free country — especially for the religious freedom we have.

And I’m thankful for God’s love for me.

So, dear reader/viewer, have a great Thanksgiving. And give thanks for all the blessings in your life.
