This week I’ve packed my iPhone and several accessories for use on the plane while using the $69 iPhone EDC Pouch .
It’s designed to “tame” pocket chaos with a designated Ultrasuede-lined pocket for an Apple smartphone (the iPhone 15 Pro Max, in my case), a AirTag slot, and compartments for keys, pens, cords, and cash. The EDC Pouch is small and lightweight enough that I easily stowed it in my carry-on bag. It also fits into purses and even pockets — assuming you have big pockets (no money pun intended).
One of the best features of the EDC Pouch is that it’s waterproof thanks to its X-Pac high-performance textile, which also feels quite rugged. You can get it in deep blue, slate, olive green, black, and white versions. (I went with the deep blue flavor).
The EDC Pouch is a fine travel companion. It slipped it into the plane’s seatback pocket so I could quickly and easily get to my iPhone, AirPods Pro, and M&Ms.
Apple World Today rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★★★
There’s also a smaller version of EDC Pouch, the $59 EDC Pocket Organizer.
