Study: slightly more iPhone users are concerned about protecting their phones than Android users

Apple and Android users have various and different preferences – including preferences for security. How do device choices tie into home security habits?

To find out, the team at Vivinit — a company that makes smart home products — surveyed 1,000 Apple and Android users about their home security experiences, revealing common habits and motivations.

Here’s what they found:

  • 37% of Apple users are concerned about protecting their phones compared to 34% of Android users most concerned about protecting their phone
  • 83% of Apple users have fallen victim to porch piracy compared to 70% of users of Android
  • Apple users are 10% more likely than Android users to have a home security system

You can check out the full study from Vivint here.
