StarTech USB-C Multifunction Adapter designed to turn your laptop into a workstation

StarTech has released its USB-C Multifunction Adapter, which is designed to enable mobile professionals to add crucial functionality to port-limited laptops such as Apple’s 12-inch MacBook.

According to the folks at StarTech, the adapter “can instantly turn a USB-C laptop into a convenient workstation, in the office or on the go.” Through a single USB Type-C connection, users can expand their laptop with HDMI and VGA output ports, a Gigabit Ethernet network port and a USB 3.0 port. The adapter is ideal for mobile professionals who work on their laptops in random locations such as hotels, airports, meeting rooms or in small office workspaces.

The USB-C Multifunction Adapter is bus-powered, so doesn’t require an additional power supply. It’s available at CDW, Amazon.com, Newegg.com, PC Connection, and Insight for $95.
