Spain now lets you add a EU Digital COVID Certificate into Apple Wallet

The Spain is the latest European Union (EU) country to add support for putting its COVID-19 passport into the Apple Wallet app, reports iMore.

The EU Digital COVID Certificate went live in July to deliver proof of vaccination to people living in member nations and a handful of neighboring countries. The certificates serve as proof that a holder has either been vaccinated against, received a negative test result for or recovered from COVID-19.

The digital version can be stored on a mobile device. Citizens can also request a paper version. Both will have a QR code that contains essential information, as well as a digital signature to make sure the certificate is authentic.

Member States have agreed on a common design that can be used for the electronic and paper versions to facilitate the recognition.
