Skillable exec: workplace will be an early adopter, driver of the Apple Vision Pro’s success

According to Frank Gartland, chief product & technology officer at Skillable (a company that specializes in training with digital and software skills), the workplace will be an early adopter and driver of the Vision Pro’s success:

“Many early uses of AR and VR centered around gaming and entertainment, but with mixed reality like Apple Vision Pro, which focuses on immersive meetings and collaboration, we’ll see more uses for AR and VR at work. More organizations will explore AR and VR for training their teams and providing key information to workers in the moment,” he says. “In training, AR and VR will help people practice their roles, develop confidence in their skills, and prepare for work — much like a pilot doing flight simulations.”

The Apple Vision Pro will be available in the US on February 2. It will be available starting atUS$3,499 with 256GB of storage. ZEISS Optical Inserts will be available: $99 for reading lens and $149 for prescription lens.

The Vision Pro comes with a Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band — giving users two options for the fit that works best for them. Apple Vision Pro also includes a Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, an Apple Vision Pro Cover for the front of the device, Polishing Cloth, Battery, USB-C Charge Cable, and USB-C Power Adapter.
