Seventh annual Jamf Nation User Conference sees record attendance; Apple devices flourishing the enterprise

The Jamf Nation User Conference, hosted by Jamf, is the largest Apple IT management community in the world, got underway today in the beautiful city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the keynote, company CEO Dean Hager unveiled new branding and a (slightly tweaked) logo (pictured) for the company.

Jamf’s Casper Suite is now dubbed Jamf Pro, while its Bushel product has been renamed jamf Now. The former is a EMM tool for IT pros and the users they support that provides unified endpoint management for Apple devices. The latter is a cloud-based MDM solution for the iPads, iPhones and Macs in a workplace and doesn’t require IT knowledge.

During the keynote at the Guthrie Theater, Hager (one of the best keynote presenters I’ve seen in a while) also talked about Jamf’s impressive growth. Among the stats:

  • Last year the company serviced 5,970 and managed five million Apple devices. This year those numbers are 9,100 and seven million, respectively.
  • Jamf, whose goal is to “help organizations succeed with Apple products,” has more than doubled its engineering department in the past year-and-a-half.
  • This is the seventh annual Jamf Nation User Conference. This year has a record 1,200 attendees. Another 1,000-plus tuned in for the live streaming of the keynote.
  • Nineteen of the top 25 global organizations use the company’s products to manage their Macs.
  • Jamf has seen 200% growth in its iOS enterprise management in 2016.
