We knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but for owners of Apple’s Aperture app for Mac, that day was today. Apple sent out an email to owners of Aperture informing them of the impending demise of the app, along with instructions on how to get on the public beta of OS X 10.10.3 if Aperture fans want to take the new Photos app for a spin (screenshot below):
