Pyle USA has been making moves in the home automation and security market recently, and today the company announced the new Pyle HD Pan & Tilt Security Camera ($56). At that low price tag, the device offers HD viewing of homes or offices for security purposes, with the ability to remotely control the camera via the free Pyle app.
The Pan & Tilt camera records and saves 720p HD video and 1280 x 720 HD photos directly to an iPhone or iPad via the app, with control — 270° horizontal and 120° vertical motion — making it easy to see what’s happening all around a room. A built-in SD card slot makes it possible to record video and photos without the need for an expensive cloud account.
The app livestreams video and users can view recorded videos and photos via the app. The app also sends email notifications when motion is detected by the camera or the camera is tampered with. The Pan & Tilt camera works well at night, with 16 light sensor-activated infrared LEDs keeping things “lit up” in the darkness. With a built-in microphone, you can also listen to what’s going on at the home or office, as well as communicate with intruders, family, pets, or office mates in the room.
The Pan & Tilt Camera is available now at Pyle USA.
