Apple TV’s "Foundation" has replaced its line producer at filming prepare to start on the third season.
Production on season three of Apple TV+’s “Foundation” has been postponed due to budgeting and production issues, reports Deadline.
The article says that about a third of season three has been filmed, but adds: “Issues with budgeting and physical production/ prompted the delay of filming in Prague and Poland, which had been scheduled to begin this month, sources tell Deadline. Cast and crew who had already convened for the shoot were told to return home while production issues are sorted out, with the budget brought down. No new start date has been set.”
Apple announced that “Foundation” had been renewed for a third season in December 2023. Hailing from storyteller David S. Goyer, produced by Skydance Television, and starring Lee Pace and Jared Harris, the third season of “Foundation” will expand the television adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s award-winning stories.
Since its global debut on Apple TV+, “Foundation” has been broadly celebrated as “visually stunning,” “breathtaking,” a “must-see TV event” and “one of TV’s most expansive sci-fi epics.” The series continues to receive global praise and season two holds a 100% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes.
