PopCase for iPhone has a cool PopGrip slide (plus, it’s MagSafe compatible)

PopSockets has launched its first iPhone case: the PopCase. It’s a solid case available in a variety of “flavors.” There are other, more protective cases, but the “big feature” of the PopCase is its PopGrip slide.

With it, you can conveniently adjust your phone stand options and mounting angles by sliding it down. If you don’t like it, you can remove the PopGrip slide completely.

My favorite feature of the PopCase is that some of its models come with MagSafe compatibility. This means you can use your PopCase-enclosed iPhone to connect to a MagSafe charger and other MagSafe accessories. MagSafe PopCases adapt effortlessly with your MagSafe charger and all other MagSafe accessories.

Apple says that MagSafe “improves wireless charging for a better, more efficient experience and introduces an ecosystem of easy-to-attach accessories that beautifully complement iPhone 12 Pro models.” It features an array of magnets around the wireless charging coil that connect to the iPhone  and provide up to 15W of power while still accommodating existing Qi-enabled devices. As mentioned, there are more rugged cases, but the PopSockets case should be protection enough for most folks. It boasts certified 10-foot drop protection thanks to its shock-absorbing egg-crate impact geometry bumpers for worry-less living.

The PopCase costs US$50-$60, depending on the model. It’s available in a variety of hues in MagSafe and non-MagSafe models: Abstract, Vintage Floral, Black, Nova, Clear, Violet, All Smiles, Peachy, White, Spearmint, etc.

Apple World Today Rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★★

Speaking of the PopGrip slide, PopSockets also offers the PopGrip Premium. It attaches to your phone or tablet, making it easier to hold your device or stand it up. Pricing ranges from $13 to $35.
