OWC has announced the OWC Thunderbolt Dual DisplayPort Adapter, which supports up to 8K resolution.
By utilizing the latest DisplayPort 1.4 technology, this high-performance adapter delivers up to 4x higher resolution than DisplayPort 1.2, according to the folks at OWC. All you need is a single Thunderbolt port to plug it in. Small and bus-powered, it’s portable.
Here are some features of the OWC Thunderbolt Dual DisplayPort Adapter:
° Single display up to 8K @ 30Hz or 8K @ greater than 30Hz with DSC;
° Dual display up to 4K @ 60Hz, 4K @ 144Hz with DSC, or 8K with DSC
° Can be used to watch videos, play games, create crisp digital signage walls, or make presentations on a DisplayPort display or projector;
° Full Display Potential: DSC (Display Stream Compression) compatible for higher refresh rates;
° HDR for sharper images, brighter colors, and greater contrast;
° Supports multichannel, high-definition digital audio formats.
The OWC Thunderbolt Dual DisplayPort Adapter costs US$78. It comes with a one-year OWC limited warranty.
