Notable apps and updates, June 3-8

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are this week’s picks.

macOS

lorian Soenens and graphic artist Rolf Neumann have teamed up for their first Mac app, IconMenu 1.0, a search tool for icons. 

Accessed directly from the menubar, it allows you to directly search for and download icons and drag them in any app, in any format/size you need. IconMenu supports all available png sizes from 16px up to 1024px as well as svg and ICNS format.

It requires macOS 10.12 or higher. IconMenu costs $3.99; a demo is available for download.

Lemke Software has rolled out GraphicConverter 11, an update to their “Swiss Army Knife” image editing utility for macOS. 

The tool provides users with the ability to convert most graphic file formats into any of nearly 80 other graphic formats. Version 11 brings numerous new features, including a macro recording function, a RAW developer feature, the ability to unpack archive files, wide equalization, creation of gradients, duo-tone images, and more.

GraphicConverter 11 requires macOS 10.9 or higher. It costs $39.95 is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Photography category. It can also be directly purchased online from the Lemkesoft website.

GraphicConverter 10.6.3 is a free update for all customers of version 10.x. Upgrades from older versions of the app are available for $25.95.

iOS

Impute has launched its business English learning mobile app, Fluent8. The AI-driven app helps users to learn the English language from scratch, starting from a few basic words to reading and writing long narratives. 

The voice recognition technology helps the user to interact with the smart AI chatbot and make improvements on the go. Fluent8 is free (), but does offer in-app purchases.
